ASGC recognizes the importance of supporting the World Environment Day 2021, by adopting the theme of 2021 “Reimagine, Recreate, Restore”.
ASGC team planted forty-five seeds for The Ghaf tree- the national tree of the UAE, a symbol of stability and peace.
ASGC also planted 100 Trees including clerodendrum inerme (Wild Jasmine), azadirachta indica (Neem Tree), carissa grandiflora prostrata (Natal Plum) among others across the workforce accommodations to support the healthy living environment.
A single Ghaf tree:
- Absorbs 36.5 kg of carbon dioxide (CO2)
- Its roots penetrating as deep as 30 meters to access underground water
- Can live up to 120 years
This is an effort to raise awareness and we are committed to preserving and restoring our environment.
